I'm Karl Bevin, and I'm based in Waitakere Auckland, New Zealand.
I am a forensic photographer by occupation, which is a very rewarding and technically challenging job. My work images are a complete contrast to what I shoot in my own time. You could call it my stress relief.
I love to spend my spare time taking a variety of subjects. Spending time out on a deserted hilltop or beach waiting for the sun to set, or lying in wait for an elusive Kotare Kingfisher is so rewarding and (not always!) relaxing.
I have a passion for pushing the photographic boundaries, learning new techniques, and presenting something that stands out from other images.
It's true my best photo really is the next one I'm about to take.
